Event Overview

This two day New Officer Training is a special opportunity to receive information on how to effectively implement law related education in the classroom. By providing this early, two day training that will focus on the LRE aspect of the SRO role, participants will receive tools at the start of the school year that will enable them to understand and fulfill the educational requirements of the program. Additionally, participants will receive an overview of their role on campus from experts in the field and be able to seek clarity on their assignment in the schools. By attending this Early Bird training, participants will only need to attend Days 1 and 2 of the New Officer’s Training week scheduled later during the school year.

The Early Bird New Officer Training provides the following:

• Introduction to the School Safety Program

• Understanding of their role as a School Safety Officer

• Hands-on training implementing LRE instruction utilizing the Best Practices

• Instruction on obtaining resources, LRE curriculum and technical assistance from AZFLSE staff and the Law for Kids website
