Power Against Bullying Behaviors

Event Overview

Bully behaviors not only affect the safety and well-being of students but can also affect their academic success. This academy will equip educators with lessons that teach strategies to deal with bullying behaviors. Students will learn how to avoid gossip and inappropriate remarks with upstanding and responsible behaviors. Students will also learn when and how to intervene on behalf of others. These lessons will provide students with interactive practice with real-life bullying scenarios designed to evoke discussions and skill building. Students will also participate in practices to effectively communicate with others if they are experiencing bullying. 

Training Objectives: 

  • Equip students with effective communication skills that help promote safety 
  • Educate students on their rights and responsibilities with social interactions at school 
  • Teach strategies to safety stand up for others in bullying situations
