Lisa teaches at Corona del Sol High School in the Tempe Union High School District.  She has taught various subjects in the Social Studies Department over the last 28 years.  She currently teaches US Government at various levels and Constitutional Law, an elective class.  In addition to her teaching assignment, she has been an advisor to various clubs over the years, including the founding of Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society at CdS. She has also been a coach for Corona’s We the People, the Citizen and the Constitution competition class for over 20 years. Corona has won the state title and competed at the National level many times, making the Top 10 on several occasions.

 

Lisa has also served as a Mentor at the Arizona We the People summer institutes. She was selected as a Madison Fellow in 2015 and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in American History and Government through Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio.  Her passion is learning and teaching about our government and history; over the last several years she has attended numerous summer institutes across the country about our Constitution and government.  She has two grown children, Jacob, a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy Submarine force and Sara, a nurse in the Phoenix area, plus two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Logan.
