In 2008, Warren’s Project Citizen class portfolio won the Idaho Showcase and was featured as Idaho’s representative in Washington, D.C. In 2015, Warren landed a job at Sunnyside High School in Tucson, where he taught American Government using Level 3 of the WTP textbook. In 2016, Warren taught Sunnyside High School’s first Honors Government WTP class, which was awarded the Warren E. Burger invitation to compete in the National WTP competition in Washington, D.C. In 2017, Warren received the John J. Ross Award for Teacher Excellence in High School Law Related Education. Warren was privileged to serve as a Mentor at the 2017 WTP Summer Institute in Albuquerque and the 2018 WTP Summer Institute in Phoenix. Warren retired in May of 2019, bringing to a close his 44-year career in public education. Warren is the author of A very small book on K-12 public education: A journey from reflection, to discovery, to revolution (published in 2020); A very small book on American Government: A journey from reflection, to remedy, to hope (published in 2022) and A Very Small Book about a Cabin at Kettle Creek (published in 2022).
