Tara has been actively involved in many of the Foundation’s LRE programs as a former teacher and as current faculty. Her impressive list of global experiences with civic education programs, research, and projects are a wonderful asset to her role as faculty. The Foundation is fortunate to benefit from Tara’s expertise and passion with creating effective LRE lessons that engage students’ interest and equip students with skills to become active citizens at their school, community, and beyond. With the utmost professionality, Tara navigates timelines, lesson requirements, and best practices required for effective implementation of LRE. She expertly navigates online platform tools, creating a fun, interactive learning experience for participants. With her warm and friendly personality, the audience is quickly at ease and encouraged to participate to the best of their ability. Preparation and organization are some of Tara’s strengths, while also being flexible and sensitive to the needs of the audience. Tara is savvy on inspiring the learner when new content and skills are being taught which becomes evident while she is facilitating. When participants ask her how to explain various concepts to students or how to use a particular online teaching tool, Tara is quick to step in and offer her implementation strategies. Her ability to multitask and maintain an effective online presence during trainings is extremely beneficial to the participants. The Foundation’s LRE programs have been enriched by Tara and we look forward to future collaborations!
