Jill is a dynamic co-facilitator and creative lesson developer! Creating LRE lessons for primary grades can be challenging but Jill’s entertaining presentation style and insight into the K-3 learner, makes her an expert for this age group. During a training, Jill easily motivates the audience to participate in K-3 lessons through techniques such as coloring, cut/paste activities, acting out with puppets, and hand motions. Jill has endless ideas on how to make even walking back to your desk after engaging in an interactive activity fun for participants. She expertly illustrates how to engage young learners in story time and when the facilitator is explaining a concept, by using energizing hand movements that enable the learner to conceptualize words and ideas they may not be familiar with simply through listening. Jill’s understanding of cognitive development in young learners is incorporated in the lessons she creates. She shares her knowledge so that LRE instructors understand the reasons why the lesson is presented in a format conducive to primary grade learning styles. We honor Jill and thank her for her expertise and time! !
