What is Fentanyl?

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. It can be found in the form of pills, powder, tablets, capsules, and solutions.

What Are the Dangers?

Just two milligrams of fentanyl, which is equal to 10-15 grains of table salt, is considered a lethal dose. The small amount that is considered lethal, is demonstrated in the image here. The powder by the penny is the two milligrams.

What to Look For?

Illegal fentanyl is sold in the following forms: as a powder, dropped on blotter paper like small candies, in eye droppers or nasal sprays, or made into pills that look like real prescription opioids.

What are the Effects on the Body?
