Event Overview

This virtual workshop is for Juvenile Probation Officers & Detention Staff in Arizona. This virtual workshop will equip participants with the tools to empower youth in understanding the legal and financial responsibilities that are associated with employment and bringing home a paycheck. A key tool provided is the “When You Turn 18” booklet, a resource created by the Arizona Bar Foundation in partnership with the Arizona Supreme Court and the Maricopa County Courts to inform youth about the new rights and responsibilities they receive on their 18th birthday. Activities will demonstrate how to teach youth about legal responsibilities utilizing best practices in juvenile delinquency prevention.
