As a component of Project Citizen, entire classes of students work cooperatively to identify a public policy problem in their community. They then research the problem, evaluate alternative solutions, develop their own solution in the form of a public policy, and create a political action plan to enlist local or state authorities to adopt their proposed policy. (either via shared link or attachment). The State Showcase in May will be invite-only and will feature several of the top scoring classes from around the state.
The Project Citizen Arizona Program is available to all Arizona middle and high schools and classrooms.
