Central Arizona - Project Citizen Portfolios (Only Central Arizona)

Program Overview

As a component of Project Citizen, entire classes of students work cooperatively to identify a public policy problem in their community. They then research the problem, evaluate alternative solutions, develop their own solution in the form of a public policy, and create a political action plan to enlist local or state authorities to adopt their proposed policy. Participants develop an electronic portfolio of their work and submit it to This email address is being protected from spambots. The State Showcase in May will be invite-only and will feature several of the top scoring classes from around the state.  

The Project Citizen Arizona Program is available to all Arizona middle and high schools and classrooms.

Helpful Tips for Completing the Registration Process

  1. Be prepared to enter information for each student.
  2. Member = Student
  3. Enter the exact total of students (members).
  4. Do not enter teacher information in the first section.  You will be asked in the "Educator Information" section to enter teacher contact info.
  5. Accurately complete the information for each student as the aggregate data is required and shared with our funders (Arizona Supreme Court) for continued funding for future year.
