Event Overview

This two-day in-person training covers program requirements, statutorily required training for school-based officers, and the role of the school-based officers. Day 1 begins with the role and responsibilities of the SRO and JPO. Day 2 is Foundations in School Safety, where officers learn how their campus will increase safety and about the history and development of the School Safety Program with their site’s administrator. 

Important Note: It is one registration for both days of the Continuing Officer Training. 

Required Attendance

All School Safety Program funded SROs/JPOs returning to the program in FY 2027 OR who joined the School Safety Program previously and attended the New Officer Training. All Agency Supervisors, whether new or returning.
