This workshop is for educators who are participating in the American Civics Education Program (ACEP), those who teach the We the People Program, and those preparing for the AZ We the People Competition. The focus will be on the following 2023-2024 We the People Unit 6 State Hearing Question:
To what extent, if any, has the protection of individual rights, as enshrined in the U.S. Bill of Rights, influenced international constitutional protections?

This academy is for educators who serve a upper elementary/middle/high school population.
Educators will receive an overview of the We the People program, participate in a simulated hearing, and gain strategies for immediate classroom implementation.
A limited amount of mileage reimbursement (up to $100) for those traveling 100 miles or more one way is available on a first come first serve basis. Substitute reimbursement (maximum amount $100) is available while supplies last. Participants who attend the training in its entirety can receive a $100 stipend.
