Q: What is a "Vapor Product"?

A: According to Arizona law (A.R.S. §13-3622), "Vapor product" means a noncombustible tobacco-derived product containing nicotine that employs a mechanical heating element, battery or circuit, regardless of shape or size, that can be used to heat a liquid nicotine solution contained in cartridges," (A.R.S. §13-3622).

Q: Are vaporizers/e-cigarettes legal to buy in Arizona when you are 18?

A: It depends. Arizona’s state law says that tobacco products, including vapes and e-cigarettes, cannot be sold to anyone under the age of 18. Federal law and some Arizona cities and town ordinances set the legal purchase age to 21 years old. Cities also have laws about where tobacco products, including vapes and e-cigarettes, may be used.
