This series of virtual sessions will equip middle and high school educators with the tools to bring Mock Mediation into the classroom! Mock mediation uses fictional legal disputes to teach students to resolve conflicts through communication, collaboration, and problem-solving—skills that promote a positive school climate as well as real-world success. Educators will learn the structure of mock mediation, its relevance in legal practice, and effective negotiation strategies for students. Participants will also explore the roles of mediator, advocate, and client, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the mediation process. Help students think critically, advocate effectively, and settle disputes with confidence with mock mediation!
The Arizona Mock Mediation State Tournament will be hosted in November 2025. This series will help educators prepare their students for the tournament, but attendees of the series will not be required to compete. Participants are not required to attend all sessions in the series but those who do, will receive $100 in educational materials. (Arizona teachers only)
