In 2024, both cyberbullying and bullying in school will reportedly continue to rise. Nearly 22% of youth reported having harassed or made fun of another person online or through text at least once in the past year. (AYS 2022) Lessons included in this training will help students to understand the impact on the learning environment when they post videos of school fights and student aggressions online. Behaviors such as bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, threats and intimidation from what is being posted online about a student may cause students to feel unsafe on campus. By reacting to falsehoods, rumors, videos or posting themselves it may lead to aggression and fights brought on school campus. The lessons in this academy will equip students with the necessary skills to use their technology in a safe manner that avoids negative consequences.
