We the People is a comprehensive civics curriculum designed for students in grades 4-12. The program promotes civic knowledge, awareness, and responsibility by guiding students through an in-depth exploration of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the institutions of American government. It builds students’ critical thinking, collaboration, and public speaking skills, and culminates in a simulated congressional hearing, where students present their understanding of key constitutional concepts. In this training, educators will receive an overview of the We the People program, learn how to prepare students for simulated congressional hearings, and leave with strategies and lessons for immediate use in the classroom.
Attendees will receive a FREE classroom set of We the People textbooks (up to a $1,200 value). Those who have received a free set of We the People Level II or III textbooks through the Foundation between 2021-present, will not be eligible to receive another classroom set of textbooks.
