Joseph (Sepp) Sprietsma has been working with The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Building Healthy Communities Project since October 2018.  Prior to working with the University of Arizona, Sepp worked in the juvenile justice field with Cochise County for 20 years supporting community development, professional development, and youth education projects.  While with Cochise County Probation Juvenile Court Services, Sepp served as a school probation officer under the Arizona Department of Education Safe Schools grant for six years.  Sepp’s areas of expertise in juvenile justice include law related education in schools and juvenile detentions centers, motivational interviewing, adverse childhood experiences, juvenile detention alternatives initiative, the cross over youth program model, and leadership training.
