Event Overview

This online training is for educators who serve an upper-elementary, middle and/or high school population.  A limited amount of substitute reimbursements (maximum amount $100 per day) will be available.

The Project Citizen curriculum engages young people in cooperative, project-based learning as they learn how to positively create change in their community through public policy.  Project Citizen helps educators and students understand public policy and how our government works.  Attendees will receive a FREE classroom set of Project Citizen textbooks.

Project Citizen Advanced Workshop

Event Overview

This online training is for educators who serve an upper elementary, middle, and/or high school population who have previously attended the Project Citizen 101 one-day training or summer institute and would like more in-depth strategies for teaching youth about public policy.  A limited amount of substitute reimbursements (maximum amount $100) will be available.

The Center for Civic Education released a new edition of the Project Citizen level 1 textbook and attendees who require level 1, will receive a new classroom set.

SROs/JPOs are invited to attend if they have already attended the Project Citizen 101 training; however, please note this training does not fulfill the yearly advanced LRE Academy requirement for School Safety Program funded officers.
