Civil Responsibilities

Event Overview

This training will enable educators to help their students transition from the classroom to life after high school with a focus on civil responsibilities. A key tool provided is the “When You Turn 18” booklet, a resource created by the Arizona Bar Foundation in partnership with the Arizona Supreme Court and the Maricopa County Courts. Developed to inform youth about the new rights and responsibilities they receive on their 18th birthday, the “When You Turn 18” booklet addresses twenty-seven topics that are relevant to students’ lives and focus on the impact of the law. By participating in interactive activities, students will be provided with important life skills to assist them in exercising their rights while remaining law-abiding citizens. Attendees will receive a set of the “When You Turn 18” booklets.
