Intake for Processing

The detention officer will conduct the screening process to assess risks such as abuse, trafficking, or suicide attempts. Questions regarding health such as drug use, food allergies, and general health are also asked. Staff will contact parents and ask for any additional information to assess the youth and inform them that they may bring in any medication the youth require. Youth may receive a booking call from a parent, guardian, or custodian if approved by the juvenile probation officer. Legal counsel may also be contacted after the intake process is completed.
