Event Overview

This virtual workshop is for Juvenile Probation Officers & Detention Staff in Arizona. Participants will explore interactive strategies to educate youth about the physical, mental, and social impacts of marijuana use. Captain Brandt Lange, a retired Fire Captain/Paramedic and experienced nurse, will lead a presentation on the physical effects of marijuana, how youth are accessing it, and emerging trends. Participants will learn how to help youth understand the risks and consequences associated with marijuana use.

Please note this training does not fulfill the yearly advanced LRE Academy requirement for School Safety Program funded officers.

Event Overview

This virtual workshop is for Juvenile Probation Officers & Detention Staff in Arizona. Participants will learn interactive strategies to teach youth about the risks and potential consequences associated with online interactions. Participants will engage in an interactive programming activity educating youth in your care on the dangers of sexting. Programming will help youth understand their rights and responsibilities when navigating online interactions and help them build protective factors through healthy boundaries.

Please note this training does not fulfill the yearly advanced LRE Academy requirement for School Safety Program funded officers.
