Event Overview
This virtual workshop is for Juvenile Probation Officers & Detention Staff in Arizona. Nearly 22% of youth reported having harassed or made fun of another person online or through text at least once in the past year. (AYS 2024) This virtual workshop will provide lessons that give youth strategies to avoid the consequences of cybercrimes.
Please note this training does not fulfill the yearly advanced LRE Academy requirement for School Safety Program funded officers.

When Words and Behaviors Become Illegal JPO Workshop
Event Overview
This virtual workshop is for Juvenile Probation Officers & Detention Staff in Arizona. Researchers have found that verbal aggression is the most frequent form of aggression reported in U.S. schools across all grade levels. This workshop will provide information and a lesson plan to educate youth on the difference between their first amendment right and a criminal offense.
Please note this training does not fulfill the yearly advanced LRE Academy requirement for School Safety Program funded officers.
