2027 CSI Arizona Forensic Sketch Artist Contest Judge
We are looking for virtual judges for the CSI Arizona Forensic Sketch Artist Contest in March. This event precedes the in-person competition in April. In the Forensic Sketch Artist Contest, students use provided witness statements to create a facial composite sketch.
Contest judges will score submitted sketches according to the following criteria:
- Accuracy
- How closely does the sketch match the witness statements and the actual reference image? Are the facial features, proportions, and distinguishing characteristics represented accurately? Does the sketch capture the overall likeness of the individual?
- Detail
- Does the sketch include a strong and appropriate level of detail in the facial features, hair, expression, and other identifying characteristics? Are important descriptive elements from the witness statements clearly incorporated? Does the artist show careful attention to the unique features that strengthen the likeness?
- Clarity
- Is the sketch clear, neat, and clearly drawn? Are the facial features well-defined and understandable to the viewer?
