After the Hearing

After the court hearing concludes, the next steps depend on the outcome of the case. If it was a disposition hearing (when the judge decides what consequences or services will be ordered for the youth after they’ve been found responsible) the youth and their parent/guardian will meet with a probation officer outside the courtroom to review the terms of probation. The youth may also need to speak with their attorney before leaving.
