Physical Activity
The juvenile detention center offers a variety of physical activities to help youth stay active and healthy. These activities include yoga, CrossFit, volleyball, weightlifting, dice games, soccer, basketball, and running. Youth are typically able to participate for at least two hours a day, often three or more, with more opportunities on weekends. The daily schedule includes at least one hour of leisure recreation, such as running, chess, or board games, along with one hour of muscle activity, including yoga or weightlifting.
