Visitor's Waiting Room

Visitation at the juvenile detention center is available for individuals over 18 who are approved by the probation officer. For visitors under 18, visits must be scheduled separately and staffed by probation. The regular visitation hours are Thursday nights from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Visitors are generally not allowed to bring items, except during special visits, when parents can bring one sealed food item and one drink. The rules during visitation encourage politeness and respect. All youth attend visitation, even if they do not have visitors. Staff will visit with youth who don’t have visitors. Parents can hug and hold hands with their children, but they must sit on opposite sides of the table. Visitors are asked to be mindful and respectful of others during the visitation period.
