The medical needs of the youth are also met while staying in the Center. Continuity of care with the youth’s professional medical providers is essential, with opportunities to weigh in on medical care, and a registered nurse is available daily for medication dispensing and medical issues that arise. Any larger medical needs or emergencies are treated by professionals from the adult facility in the same county compound. A substance abuse director is available when needed 3x a week for youth suffering from addiction.
