Welcome to Arizona Mock Mediation! This exciting program for Arizona middle and high school students focuses on learning the process of legal mediation while developing life-long skills like collaboration, negotiation, public speaking, and quick thinking. A brief overview of the program:
- Students compete in teams of 3, and take turns playing the roles of advocate, client, and mediator.
Volunteer Need: Attorney Judges
Location: Paradise Valley Community College
Morning Judges (Round 1 & 2) 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon Judges (Round 3 & Championship Round) 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
What does volunteering for the Arizona Mock Mediation Tournament entail?
Judges will analyze student mediation and score them on a provided rubric. You can volunteer for the morning rounds from 8:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or the afternoon rounds from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are provided at judge orientations.
