ASU Counselor and Social Worker Documentation Series: Expressive Therapeutic Interventions
Event Overview
Expressive arts interventions, used to address stress and challenges in children, can be a great intervention to utilize in a school based setting. This brief form of intervention can be administered in school counseling and classroom based settings, and utilizes a "bottoms-up approach", focusing on sensory and emotional awareness and regulation. When students can self-regulate, and co-regulate with others, it often results in better classroom behavior and improved learning. Come join us for a morning of experiential activities that you can use with students in individual and group settings.
Required Attendance
Returning positions that have completed their annual training requirements (Leadership 100/New CSW Training), will attend an SSP Advanced Course (see SSP Course Catalog for more information). Unlike previous years, you will get to choose from a catalog of courses for a learning opportunity that best fits the needs on your campus or in your district.
Please note: *These dates are final and no further dates will be added later in the year. We encourage you to sign up for training as soon as possible and do not miss the training you sign up for because there are no additional training dates being added. Please sign up for just one course!
