Event Overview

This in-person training will be a live, interactive training. Annual SSO training shall introduce new School Safety Officers (SSO) to the philosophy of the School Safety Program, program personnel, 3 roles of a SSO and its alignment to the SRO position, Law Related Education (especially the ‘best practices’ and introduction to Universal LRE lessons), as well as how to work most effectively within the SSAPT (school safety assessment and prevention team) on each campus.  

This training date is only available for officers who work at a police department in Maricopa County, at Maricopa Police Department, or at Gila River Indian Community Police Department.
