We the People Region 1 Showcase

Showcase Overview

Students participate in a simulated congressional hearing as the culminating activity for the We the People program. The entire class, working in cooperative teams, prepares and presents statements before a panel of community representatives who act as congressional committee members. Students then answer questions posed by the committee members. The format provides students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of constitutional principles while providing teachers with an excellent means of assessing performance.

The We the People Arizona Regional Showcases are available to all Arizona middle and high schools and classrooms. To determine which Regional Showcase to register for, please consult the We the People Arizona Regional Map.  

Helpful Tips for Completing the Registration Process

  1. Member = Student
  2. Enter the exact total of students (members).
  3. Do not enter teacher information in the first section. You will be asked in the "Educator Information" section to enter teacher contact info.
