Exploring School Cell Phone Policies & Best Practices

Event Overview

This in-person course will give a brief overview of the latest research findings regarding adolescent cellphone use and correlating concerns. Participates will look at current state and local efforts to ban or limit cellphones in schools and discuss key considerations, and common barriers, when establishing/evaluating a school cell phone policy. This course will also discuss ways to replace student screen time with embodied experiences and interactions and provide helpful resources for staff, educators, and parents.
