This LRE Academy is for educators who serve a middle/high school population. SROs/JPOs from a School Safety Program Funded site have the ability to attend for free. 

Event Overview

This academy will equip educators with the skills to bring crime scene investigations (CSI) to life in their classrooms or after-school clubs! Participants will learn the basics of teaching crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and witness questioning. They will explore strategies to teach students how to effectively process crime scenes and analyze various types of evidence. 

Free, private hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursement (up to $150) are available for SSP funded SROs/JPOs who work at a school outside of Maricopa County.

School Safety Program funded officers are welcome to attend, but this training will not fulfill their yearly training requirement.
