"Hello! I am Camila Mercado from Tucson, and I’m a proud member of the KVLC. I hold the strong belief that there should be transparency in the voting process in order for people to trust and advocate for voting throughout generations and the United States. I’m excited to grow our program and its impact."

Max Akbari

"My name is Max Akbari. I am a senior and a Kids Voting Leadership Council representative. I joined KVLC to improve upon my leadership qualities and take on a higher responsibility. I like to spend time outside and I like to participate in FFA events. I am going into my second year of raising chickens. I am currently learning about aviation and taking an interest in aerospace. I intend on eventually becoming a commercial pilot."

Syndal Anglin

Council Member

"I'm Syndal Anglin and I am an 8th grader. I wanted to join the council for a college essay or to help with me getting into a college but also to find my voice and have  people understand that I want to help others by speaking with their voices to have a backup. I am learning about government in my civics class at the moment and wish to know more."

Renata Cazares

Council Member

"I'm Renata Cazares and I am a 7th grader. I joined KVLC because I want to learn how to speak up in front of a group of people. I also want to have an idea on what voting is all about. I also had the chance to go to Washington DC, it was super fun and I was able to learn about the government."

Xitlaly Gonzalez

Council Member

"I'm Xitlaly Gonzalez and I'm an 8th grader. I decided to join the council because I want to speak up more, and when I found out that I had gotten an opportunity to join I was interested. I am in student council, youth mentors, and I went to Washington DC to learn about the government. I am excited to notice my growth on our program."
