Kids Voting AZ
Kids Voting Arizona, Inc. is a nonprofit, nonpartisan grassroots-driven voter education program. Founded in in the 1980s and an affiliate of Kids Voting USA, Kids Voting Arizona is committed to creating lifelong voting habits in children, increasing family communication about citizenship, and encouraging greater adult voter turnout.
Administered by the Arizona Bar Foundation, Kids Voting AZ is available to all youth from K - 12th grade and strives to meet the needs of diverse populations across the state. Students learn about voter registration, making informed decisions, and understanding the importance of participating in elections. Students are provided the opportunities to participate in mock elections that stimulate the voting process. Educators have the opportunity to participate in interactive trainings that provide implementation strategies and resources to implement Kids Voting AZ with their students. By teaching students about the voting process, students are civically engaged and have the tools to become responsible community members.
