Respect During Social Interactions

Overview:
According to the National Health Education Standards, “…respecting others’ limits, resolving conflicts and knowing how and when to ask for help, ... being able to refuse unwanted behaviors, and resisting negative pressure”. This training will provide hands-on, interactive lessons that can equip students with the skills necessary to determine if their actions are crossing the line. The lessons will demonstrate the importance of respecting the personal space and rights of their peers and authority figures when it comes to social interactions both online and in-person. In addition, participants will have the tools to teach their students the consequences of inappropriate and unwanted romantic interest, teasing, pranking, and hazing to help improve the safety of their school environment.
