Implementing School Cell Phone Policies & Best Practices
Event Overview
This in-person course will give a brief overview of the latest research findings regarding adolescent cell phone use and correlating concerns. Participants will look at current state and local efforts, including AZ HB2484, to ban or limit cellphones in schools and discuss key considerations, and common barriers, when establishing/evaluating a school cell phone policy.

Supporting DAFN in Emergencies/Drills
Event Overview
The Supporting Students with DAFN training will provide attendees with an introduction to the various disability/specialized need categories, an improved understanding of the legislation that guides school emergency planning for students with disabilities and/or access and functional needs (DAFN), an improved understanding of how to plan for students with DAFN across the phases of emergency management, and resources to support school staff when planning for students with DAFN in emergencies.
