Participants will sign-in and enjoy a continental breakfast.
9:00 AM Introductions, Student Incentives, & Housekeeping
Introduction of academy faculty and staff. Learn about new student incentives and ordering procedures. Overview of academy objectives and housekeeping.

Participants will get to know their peers.
Lesson 1 What is Marijuana?
Participants will engage in a lesson demonstration that teaches youth how the use of marijuana may affect the developing body.
Lesson 2 What is the Impact of Marijuana?
Participants will engage in a lesson demonstration that discusses how unhealthy or unsafe risk-taking results to social and legal consequences.
Guest Speaker: Brandt Lange
Participants will engage in a presentation that teaches the impact of marijuana and vaping on youth.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the interactive poll question tool on LawForKids.org.
Lesson 3 Marijuana Laws for Youth
Participants will engage in a lesson demonstration that discusses the difference in Arizona marijuana laws between adults and minors.
Lesson 4 Vaping 101
Participants will engage in a lesson demonstration that teaches youth how the use of vaping may affect the developing body.
Lesson 5 Resistance Skilss
Participants will engage in a lesson demonstration that discusses the different types of peer pressure and refusal skills to say no in pressured situations.
Lesson 6 Vision for the Future
Participants will engage in a lesson demonstration that teaches healthier alternatives than drug use.
Wrap Up
Participants will review the training expectations and submit evaluations.
