We are excited to recognize Angelica Abbey for her dedication to civic education and her support of both educators and students! Angelica is an inspiring sixth-grade teacher in the Chandler Unified School District who has become an invaluable supporter of the We the People and Kids Voting Arizona programs. She recently co-developed and co-facilitated a Civics that Empowers All Students (CEAS) training, where she helped new We the People teachers navigate the curriculum and provided them with impactful lessons and strategies for their classrooms. She also hosted multiple We the People Q&A sessions, giving teachers the opportunity to ask questions about the curriculum or the CEAS/JMLPE programs. Angelica’s creativity shines through, in the high-quality materials she develops, including Kids Voting Arizona activity booklets and lessons. Dependable and detail-oriented, she always meets deadlines and produces outstanding content that enhances our programs. We are incredibly grateful for her passion, expertise, and dedication.
