We are proud to recognize George Colebrook for his exceptional dedication to civic education and support of our programs! George is an experienced educator in the Peoria Unified School District. He recently facilitated the Students Create Change Academy, guiding teachers on effectively implementing Project Citizen in their classrooms. His fresh perspectives and creative input were invaluable during the planning stages of this training. When facilitating, George brings a fun, engaging style, using humor and sharing personal classroom experiences to make learning both enjoyable and relevant. As a Project Citizen technical assistance coordinator, he dedicates time to supporting teachers as they implement the program, and he has also generously volunteered as a judge for Project Citizen competitions. We are very thankful for George’s commitment and expertise in advancing civic education!
