Event Overview

This course will discuss how schools can develop strategies to support strong attendance rates and buy-in from school staff and families, discussing some of the most common factors that negatively impact attendance, especially now in a post-COVID world, discuss some barriers to strong attendance, discuss how to support positive attendance, and recommendations for both prevention and a response to truancy - in this section, the Maricopa County Juvenile Court CUTS (Court Unified Truancy Suppression) program officer will discuss a successful program to respond appropriately to chronic absenteeism and truancy.

Required Attendance

Returning positions that have completed their annual training requirements (Leadership 100/New CSW Training), will attend an SSP Advanced Course (see SSP Advanced Course Catalog for more information). Unlike previous years, you will get to choose from a catalog of courses for a learning opportunity that best fits the needs on your campus or in your district.
