Law Related Education Lessons
Law Related Education (LRE) is data driven and utilizes the best practices for juvenile delinquency prevention. The School Safety Program requires LRE instruction per school year.
The downloadable lessons date back to 2016, and some may contain outdated laws. Please check the month and date at the bottom of each lesson to see when it was created. You may need to look up the laws included in older lessons to ensure they are still accurate.
Cohort LRE
The 6 lessons under each topic build upon each other and are implemented in the same regularly scheduled classroom during the same quarter.
Community/Teacher In-Service LRE
Universal LRE is implemented for parents and/or school staff.
CSI Arizona
Lessons that provide students with the opportunity to develop analysis, gather evidence, and think critically.
Special Education LRE
LRE lessons that can be implemented in the resource or special education classroom.
Universal LRE
General lessons that raise awareness on a topic too narrow for a cohort and are implemented in a regularly scheduled classroom.
When You Turn 18
Lessons that provide students with the opportunity to learn about the rights and responsibilities gained on their 18th birthday.
