Rights & Responsibilities of Citizens in a Constitutional Democracy

Event Overview

Help your students understand the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and the importance of active citizenship! This academy will equip 4th–12th grade educators with interactive lessons and activities that align with Arizona state standards, helping students explore their individual rights and learn how to participate responsibly in a democratic society. While the training aligns with Units 5 and 6 of the We the People curriculum, prior experience with the curriculum is not required.

Free, private hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursement (up to $150) are available on a limited basis while supplies last, for educators who will be traveling 100 miles or more one-way to the training location.
