CSI Arizona: Forensic Science 101
Overview:
This two-day academy will equip educators with the foundational skills needed to implement crime scene investigations (CSI) into their classrooms or after-school clubs. Attendees will learn the basic techniques for teaching crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and witness questioning. They will explore strategies to teach how to effectively process crime scenes and analyze various types of evidence. Forensic science combines law and STEM, making CSI an excellent way to bring law into math and science classrooms. Encourage students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they work to solve crimes and present their findings! Each attendee will receive materials to help teach CSI to their students. They will also receive information on the option to participate in the 2025 CSI Arizona Competition for middle and high school students!
This two-day training offers a more comprehensive experience than the one-day session, providing deeper insights and additional skills. Participants may only attend one option.
