Kids Voting AZ: Building the Next Generation of Voters

Event Overview
Midterm elections are right around the corner! Now is the perfect time to spark excitement about civic engagement. Help students build lifelong voting habits by engaging them early. This professional learning workshop is designed for educators teaching grades 6-12 and focuses on local and state elections while aligning with Arizona’s state standards. Participants will explore online games and activities that make learning about voting fun and meaningful. The training also includes step-by-step guidance for setting up a classroom or schoolwide Kids Voting AZ mock election. The focus is on informed voting and civic participation, without discussing specific candidates. Educators will leave with ready-to-use lesson plans, “I Voted” stickers, and Family Activity Booklets to extend learning beyond the classroom.
