Safe Schools "Focus on Excellence"
Pamela Neal is a native of Arizona. Known for her “Voice” or as the “Lady in Purple,” she holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Educational Counseling from Ottawa University. She is the Director of Safe Schools "Focus on Excellence" Youth Program a company she designed to deter crime amongst youth, create safer schools, strong communities and structured youth programs centered on law related education, character development, peer leadership, empowerment and Teen Court. She is an advocate for youth and young adults and a former Juvenile Probation Officer for Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Department where she served for 20 years until she retired in 2010.
Pamela is the recipient of several awards including the State of Black Arizona Community Luminary Award and the Mayor’s Partnership Award for Innovation with Teen Court. She is also a founding member of the Arizona Teen Court Association. Pamela collaborates with various agencies including, Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators, Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, City of Phoenix, Elevate Phoenix, Maricopa County Teen Court Program, National Forum for Black Public Administrators, South Mountain High School Law Magnet Program, Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County, Roosevelt School District, and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church to provide services for children, youth and families. She has been married for the past 30 years to Daryl E. Neal.
