Phoenix, AZ
Bridgette Drye is a Mock Trial alumnus from North Pointe Preparatory, where she now teaches social studies for eighth graders and also works with students outside of the classroom as a volleyball coach. She brings the principles of law related education into her classroom through her participation in iCivics AZ, We the People, Kids Voting Leadership Council, and Project Citizen. Her students participated in the iCivics AZ Regional E-Tournament which is a virtual team-based competition where students compete while playing iCivics.org games. Bridgette incorporates hands on activities in all her classes and encourages her students to grow in their studies and allows their voices to be heard. She consistently engages her students in debates, discussions, and Socratic seminars and strives to demonstrate the importance of civic education in today’s society.
Bridgette is eager to increase her knowledge and skills by attending law related education professional development, where she is actively engaged and then takes what she has learned and applies it directly to the classroom. Her passion for her students’ education is evident when you speak with her. Bridgette is a remarkable educator, and her students are fortunate to have her as a mentor!
