Angelica Abbey is a dedicated sixth-grade teacher in the Chandler Unified School District. She has collaborated with the Arizona Bar Foundation through programs like Kids Voting Arizona and We the People. She also contributed to James Madison Legacy Project Expansion, serving both as a participant and advisor to advance civic education for underserved students.

In recognition of her exceptional commitment to promoting patriotism and civic responsibility, Angelica was named the 2024 Veterans of Foreign Wars Teacher of the Year for Arizona. She also received the John J. Ross Award for Teacher Excellence in Law-Related Education. As her school's Student Council sponsor, Angelica encourages leadership and civic engagement among her students. She also leads the implementation of Student Participatory Budgeting at the elementary level for her district. Additionally, she oversees the annual Kids Voting AZ day at her school, promoting civic participation among her students. 

Angelica's dedication to civic education and leadership development continues to leave a lasting impact on both her students and the broader community.
