Position: School Resource Officer
Desert Vista Elementary School
Crystal Hall has been in Law Enforcement for approximately five years, and with the Apache Junction Police Department for approximately two years. She has been a School Resource Officer (SRO) in Apache Junction, serving at Apache Trail High School and now at Desert Vista Elementary School. She received an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Purdue University and a Certificate in Law Enforcement Technology through Rio Salado Community College.
Officer Hall is an Active-Duty Army Veteran with two combat tours. While in the Army as a Military Police Officer, she was assigned as a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Officer, instructing over 120 classes in seven Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) schools in Fort Campbell, KY. After her time in the service, before becoming a Sworn Law Enforcement Officer, she worked in corrections, detention, and child abuse investigations.
While in the Army, she received the NATO Afghanistan Service Medal, 4 Army Accommodation Medals, an Army Achievement Medal, 2 Army Good Conduct Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, an Afghanistan Service Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with one Campaign Star, Army Service Medal, and a Combat Action Badge awarded during an Iraq tour.
Officer Hall loves serving as an SRO, role model, and mentor for youth, as they are future leaders. She enjoys camping, outdoor activities, physical fitness, and spending time with family in her free time.
