Vista Grande High School 

Jason graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in December 2009. He immediately went into his master’s program and in December 2011 graduated with his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He began teaching during the 2012-2013 school year with Geography and World History at Vista Grande High School in Casa Grande. The following year he began teaching AP United States History. During the 2017-2018 school year he decided to check out We the People and attended the training during the State Competition. After watching multiple teams compete, he fell in love with the program and attended a We the People Summer Institute and began his We the People journey with two teams.

In 2026, Jason was selected as a member of the prestigious John Lewis Class, recognizing his commitment to excellence in civic education and the We the People program. He currently teaches We the People, Government, and Economics. Jason looks forward to helping future generations of students develop as informed and engaged citizens and to mentoring and supporting future We the People teachers as the program continues to grow.
